Adventurer Sabbath practice is Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 6:30 pm.

Hey Adventurers!

We need to practice...

Adventurer Sabbath is this Sabbath!! So we need to practice our parts as individual classes and our two songs as the entire club.  We hope you have listened to the CD and know the words to "No Other God" and "Ultimate Adventure".  But guess what else we need to practice?  We need to practice the things in our Adventurer Law.  Like being thoughtful and reverent as we will be practicing in the main sanctuary.  In other words, God's house.  We will start at 6:30 pm prompt.  You will find your classes have been assigned seats in the sanctuary.  Find where your class is seated and sit with them tomorrow.  Please do not play with or tear the signs that have been posted.  We need to go through the entire program and be finished by 7:30 pm so that the Pathfinders can practice. Remember that Adventurers will participate for the  first service only and Pathfinders will do their part for second service.

We will see you tomorrow at 6:30 pm in the main sanctuary.

P.S....Azure Hills Children's Choir will be practicing at 6 pm in the main      sanctuary.

El Capitan State Beach Campsite Assignments for April 17-19, 2015

Hey Adventurers

In 5 days Adventurers will be at El Capitan State Beach!!!  The weather is supposed to be very nice while we are there.  We are looking forward to an excellent time and we have a great camp planned for all the Adventurers!

Just a couple of things...

El Capitan state beach is exit 117 on California State Highway 101.  NOT exit 116.

Please print/bring a copy of this site list with you so that you can tell the ranger in which site you are registered.

Please be sure that Adventurers bring and wear their light blue t-shirts for camp activities.

If you have a camp stove please bring it so that we can get Sabbath breakfast prepared on time.

There can be tar on the beach.  You may want to consider older swim wear for beach activities.  Also baby oil works well on tar that sticks to your skin.

As we have purchased the food and campsites for this weekend, there can be no refunds issued for any reason from this point on.

We pray that you all have a great week and can hardly wait until this weekend.

However we WILL meet tomorrow evening at 6:30 pm.  Please remember to wear your light blue Adventurer club t-shirt.

We will still be taking paid reservations for our El Capitan camp out on April 17-19 tomorrow evening.  This will be the final opportunity to sign-up for this activity as we will need to have the right numbers for food purchase.  Also you must be a registered Adventurer to go on this camp out.  If you have not registered your child, please do so tomorrow.

PLEASE do not forget to bring all Bike-a-thon pledge money if you have not already turned it in.

We are looking forward to a Spirit filled, strong finish to this Adventurer year and look forward to seeing all the Adventurers tomorrow evening.

I want to thank Associate Directors Franz and Janet Sanchez and Roger Chene for their hard work in organizing and executing this event.  They will be giving the directions tomorrow for what you'll need to know to not only participate but also in earning you Biking Honor.

Adventurers Club Bike-a-Thon Fundraiser this Sunday, March 15, 2015

Hey Adventurers

It's almost here... our clubs BIG bike-a-thon fundraiser is this Sunday, March 15 at 1:30 pm.  I hope that you all are getting lots of good folks to sponsor you as you ride as many laps as you can.  This is our only fundraiser for this year.

We are anticipating a rather warm day on Sunday and will be providing water to all participants.  We have also been asked if Adventures can ride scooters instead of bicycles and we think that would be fine.  We just want as much participation as possible.  Also, families should come hungry as we will be selling a fresh made plate lunch.  This food is (from my own personal experience) really something special.

We will have the back parking lot blocked off for the bike course so please plan on parking in front of the church.  As always, Adventurers should be wearing their light blue Adventurer t-shirts to this club event.  Looking forward to a fun filled, Spirit led day.

God bless you all during this remaining week.

Adventurer Club activity for October 2014 - Helping Hands Pantry

Greetings and salutations Adventurers!

This is a reminder that our club will be doing community service this Sabbath from 3 - 4:30 pm at the Helping Hands Pantry (Food Bank).  This organization helps to feed over 7000 children in the San Bernardino area who might other wise go to bed hungry each night.  This activity was so much fun and yet at the same time really helps us serve others in our community.

The address is 2205 South Artesia Street, San Bernardino, 92408.  From the church you would take Barton Road east to Waterman Avenue.  Turn left on Waterman and go to Artesia where you make a right.  Follow Artesia until it ends.  There is a chain link fence with a rolling gate, Helping Hands is inside the fenced area.  Be sure to wear your blue Adventurer Club t-shirt.

We want to see you all there to so that you can be God's helping hands here on earth!

More about Induction this Sabbath September 20, 2014

Happy Sabbath Eve Adventurers,

I wanted to let you all know a couple of extra things regarding Induction tomorrow. Adventurers should make their way to the stage following the children's story (if they are not already there).  Director Geoffrey will say a few words about the Adventurer club.  Then we will be reciting the Adventurer Pledge and Law while we are up front.  We will also recite Psalms 25:4&5 NIV. Director Geoffrey will prompt you when to begin each one. The words to each should be on the screen at the back of the church if you need to read them.

The Adventurer Pledge:

Director will say, "Ready...begin".

Adventurers will say, "Because Jesus loves me, I will always do my best.".

The Adventurer Law:

Director will say "Ready...begin"

Adventurers will say, "Jesus can help me to:
  • Be obedient
  • Be pure
  • Be true
  • Be kind
  • Be respectful
  • Be attentive
  • Be helpful
  • Be cheerful
  • Be thoughtful
  • Be reverent
Then we will recite Psalms 25:4&5.

Verse 4. Show me your ways, Lord,
    teach me your paths.
Verse 5. Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior...

Then the Pastor will offer a prayer to bless our Adventurer Club and our up coming year.  The Induction service is a special time for each club member and we encourage all Adventurers to participate.

See you all Sabbath for first service.

Director Geoffrey
