Happy New Year 2014 Adventurers!

Hey Adventurers... HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We hope that all the Adventurers and their families have had a wonderful Christmas holiday season.  It is so neat to think that Jesus the Son of God was born on this earth and was a child just like our Adventurers.  No we want to be like Him today, tomorrow and everyday going forward.

Just a reminder that there is NO Adventurer club meeting tomorrow January 1, 2014.  Our regular club meeting will be Wednesday, January 8.  Then GAME NIGHT (Oh Yeah!!!) is Saturday evening January 11, with worship starting at 4:30 pm.

The leadership team can't wait to get this new year going Adventurer strong!

And finally... Because Jesus loves us let us all try to do our very best in 2014!

God bless you all!

Helping Hands Food Warehouse Mission Project, November 9, 2013

Happy Sabbath Adventurers!!!

We are looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible participating in the labels project.  We will meet 2 pm Sabbath afternoon at the fellowship hall.

Just a quick note on the Helping Hand Food Warehouse mission project for Sabbath afternoon November 9.  They are expecting us at 4 pm.  The warehouse is located at 2205 South Artesia Street, San Bernardino 92408.
According to our contact there, some GPS systems can lead you to the wrong place.  So here are some directions depending on which way you might be coming from.

From Azure Hills take Barton Road east towards Loma Linda.  Turn left on to Waterman Avenue.  Turn right at East Caroline Street (by the entrance to The Rock Church).  Follow East Caroline till it terminates at Artesia Street.  The food warehouse has a large yellow gate at its entrance.  From points north of the 10 freeway take Waterman Avenue south and turn left at East Caroline Street.

We can hardly wait to see Adventurers be God's hands here on earth with these worthwhile projects.

Adventurer Club Monthly Meeting November 2013

Wow, is it just me or does it seem like forever since the last Adventurer Club... well anything?  Not to worry club members, this upcoming Wednesday at 6:30 pm is our regularly scheduled Azure Hills Adventurers meeting.  We are looking forward to a great time.  Hopefully all the dads and moms have reset all the clocks in the house and car so no one gets there late.

We are also excited about our FUN-draiser with Taco Village that Wednesday November 6 from 4-8 pm.  Taco Village is located approximately 1 block from Azure Hills church at the corner of Barton Road and Mt. Vernon Avenue adjacent to Walgreen's.  You will need to bring the handout in order for the club to benefit    So please,  go to Taco Village, enjoy a quesadilla and/or a rice bean and cheese burrito, then come to the Adventurer meeting.  It will be good for the family and good for the club. Ding-dong!

Looking forward to seeing you all there.  Blessings to all as you start your week.

4. Have an awesome time, at the beach!!!

We would love to see all of our club members participate.

Bolsa Chica State Beach extends three miles from Seal Beach to the Huntington Beach City Pier. We will be located between Towers #21 & 22. Registration for Adventurer Year 2013 - 14

God is with you mighty Adventurers and parents!

The time for Adventurer registration is finally here.

The Azure Hills Adventurer Club is open to all girls and boys between the ages of 4 and 9.  We have one monthly meeting the first Wednesday of every month.  We generally have one special activity each month.  The Adventurer year will be between September 2013 and May 2014. Per the Southeastern California Conference Adventurer program directors, a child must be 4 years of age to join Adventurers.

Adventurer registration will be Tuesday, August 20 from 6:00pm until 7:30pm.  We will have an on-line registration process.  We will be forwarding a link to this site in the upcoming days. We will also have forms on a table by Adventurer bulletin board that you may fill out and bring with you that Tuesday. You will have the option to pay your fees at registration, or at the first monthly Adventurer meeting on Wednesday, September 4 at 6:30pm.  Our apologies but there will be no online option for payment.

Our Adventurer club fees are $45.00 this year.  This includes $37.50 for dues and $7.50 for Southeastern California Conference liability insurance premium.

As you may already know, our club pays for the first five patches earned each year.  We ask that you pay for the remainder of the patches your Adventurer(s) may have earned last year. Any honors not picked up last May, will be available the evening of registration.

Do not forget to bring in your gently worn dress uniforms and Adventurer t-shirts for donation or resale.

The Adventurer year we have planned for the club should be amazing.  We hope that you all will come and be apart of it.  May the Lord God continue to bless this club, it’s awesome children and parents.

Preparing for Adventurer Sabbath 2013

Hey Adventurers

Well another awesome Adventurer year is almost finished.  What a year it has been.

First and foremost...Thank you so much to all those that put away tables and chairs and cleaned up the fellowship hall following our Investiture dinner last Friday afternoon.  It made very easy and quick to set up for Connect Sabbath school.

We will have Adventurer Sabbath practice this Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm in the main sanctuary.  Please remember that we will be reverent in this place even if it is not a regular church service.  We will run through the Sabbath morning Adventurer program and practice our two songs.  We should finish at about 7:30 pm.

Adventurer Sabbath is May 11.  It will be for first service only.  We would like you all to be there by 8:30 am.  We will line up by classes in the breeze way between the main sanctuary and the fellowship hall.  We will have Sabbath school as normal.  We will have our end of the year celebration vegetarian luncheon at 1 pm in the fellowship hall.  We will need to set up tables and chairs following Sabbath school.  Also we will need help taking everything down when we are all done.  We are looking forward to enjoying many of your home prepared special dishes! Yummmmmmmmmmyyyyyyyy!

Have a blessed week and we will see you all on Wednesday.

Blessed Day Adventurers

A couple of things regarding Investiture this evening.  First, dinner is being provided by the club.  You need not bring anything with you (save your vegetarian culinary delights for Adventurer Sabbath potluck luncheon).
Our program this evening will be seen on the "Live Stream".  Pastor Jared is making this available to those who are unable to attend.  You can access this by going to www.azurehills.org and clicking on the watch live now banner.  It will also be archived for viewing at a later date.

Looking forward to a wonderful evening with Adventurers and their families.

El Capitan State Beach... here come the Adventurers!

In the less than a week the Azure Hills Adventurer Club will be camping, worshiping, playing, learning, laughing , 'smoring and snoring at El Capitan State Beach.  Just a couple of IMPORTANT things before we go.

1.  Sabbath afternoon most families like to go down to the beach.  The beach there can get quite a bit of tar on it.  This tar sticks to everything including feet, ankles, shoes, swim suits, etc.  You should plan on using older swim clothes or shorts and t-shirts for beach wear.  Baby oil is very effective at removing tar that is stuck to skin.  Please plan accordingly.

2.  We will use the group site "Drake" as our main site for meals, honor and worship.  If you are in another group site or individual site, you will need to check in at our table in the main area so that we know your family is in camp. There will be sign up sheets for help with meal preparation. We ask that each family sign up for at least one meal during your stay.  You are welcome to help with more if you like.  The first meal will be Sabbath breakfast.

3.  CAMP SITES - Please note the following list of camp site assignments.  You will need to find your name, your site, and the reservation name.  You will be required to give this information to the rangers at the entrance booth, when you arrive at the park.  For example: Director Geoffrey will tell the rangers " Reservation is under Smith, Site 107".  If you are assigned to group site Drake, reservation name is Azure Hills.  If you are assigned to Ortega group site, reservation name is Serna.  Please check the list carefully.
